Mike,
My apologies. Hopefully 2026 will be better <g>
You just jinxed things. <G>
Damn, I always do that <g>
Years ago, I lived next door to a Cuban family and they invited us over on New Years
Eve to celebrate in the Cuban tradition. I don't recall everything, but it involved tossing
grapes over our shoulders and whatnot.
I had to work a police detail the following day where I would leave the house around 6
PM to get there. Long story short, I got a flat when I was entering I-95 entrance ramp;
I had the wrong key to the locking wheel lock so I couldn't change the tire; I had to pay
for 2 tow trucks; and I lost the revenue from the detail because I couldn't get there to
work it.
The next day, the dealer sent a tow truck to my house to tow it to their dealership. They
claimed that they gave me the correct key for the wheel lock, but realized it was the
wrong one once they saw the lock. I was supposed to have green and they gave me
blue.
Not a great start to the New Year. I never celebrated a Cuban New Years tradition again.
