• New Conference area suggestion

From Robert Thornton to All on Thursday, August 28, 2025 19:56:06
    Good evening everyone!

I wanted to present the suggestion for a new conference area devoted to vintage Audio / Video equipment and one for the digitization and transfer of magnetic tape media to digitial formats and their respective hardware.

Would there be any interest among you all to carry such conferences and do you think there would be any interest amongst your users?

    Thank you for yuour input!

Thanks for your suggestion. For now, feel free to post in the HNET_VIDEO_EDITING
area. We would like to know more about your business. What is your website address?
I can promote it on my various web Directories.

    I appreciate your interest.

    my website is www.tupelodigitizing.com

about 15 years or so ago, my stepmother had the last 3 remaining video tapesfrom my childhood converted to dvd for me and my two brothers. of all the
memories my parents captured on that old camcorder, all we had remaining waschristmas 87, 88 amd 89.

i watch those every year around christmas.

when my father passed a little over a year ago, i was able to take thpse
videos and compile a greatest hits montage to play at his memorial viewing
and sharw with his wofes family, the father who raised us.

so long story short, throuhh that experience, i wanted to offer that opportunity to my friends and family. from there is turned into what it is
now, a service i run from my home in an area that has nonother options
    locally.

i dont do it to get rich, but savubg these memories from the degradation of
the magnetic media over the years is my motivation.

    That sounds interesting.

and one for the digitization and transfer of magnetic

There is an existing VIDEO_EDITING conference that could probably use the traffic, rather than creating a new one.
