Well this has been quite the learning experience, getting my first ftn style network operational.

Thanks to Michael for all the help and guidance!

So 35 some years ago a ran a small time bbs on WWIV out of my basement bedroom at the tender age of 15. Running a phone line down the basement stairs from the kitchen phone for that extra line overnight.

Today its all bout the internet and when i found that synchronet is and has been telnet accessible i just had to giverago!

So now here I am in Tupelo, MS running Synch on a throwaway windows 10 prodesk USFF realizing i have forgotten way more than i remember about networking and ANSI menus and door games *raises fists in anger at Usurper and Exitilus!*

But hobbys are my thing, I collect sports cards, transfer analog videos to digital, build computers and hang out with the "old timers" at antique stores and estate sales.

My wife loves sewing and quilting and was a home baker for 20 plus years until covid killed her business and my photography business.

I hope to get to know you all through our hobbies and boards. Thanks for having me!

Welcome to HobbyNet! Hopefully you and your wife will find some things to say in the
various conference areas. Also, feel free to join Health Network now that you have this
    experience under your belt.

Also, I will say that most newcomers forget to properly place the correct node number at
in their tagline. You got it on the first try :)

She has given me more than one side eye as i talk with her about the glory days of BBS's and the internet ressurgence. I'll be her voice i'm thinking lol.

I will certainly get into HealthNet as well and am on the shortlist with my fido coordinato too. This weekend is fixin' to be a busy one for me i thinks.

I find it very difficult to get my wife or either of my 2 children to log into the BBS. They
would have so much to offer, but refuse to do so. Hopefully, the BBS will be a labor of
love for you, and not a means of labor. The big thing is: enjoy!
