I saw a story on 60 Minutes tonight where conspiracy theorists claim that
>our severe storms are caused by weather doppler radar stations. I kind
>of wish that were true because we would have a way to provide rain to
>places that need it and eliminate the severe weather that seems to be
>more prevalent now than ever before.
Of course, that is all a crock.
Yes, if we were able to control the weather, well, who knows what we
would end up with. Some may argue with me but a lifetime of experience
has convinced me that there is sort of an 'amount' of weather that
is spread around so if it's warmer than normal in one spot it will
be colder than normal in another.. or if you have a colder than usual
winter you'll have a hotter than normal summer..
This was a pretty rough winter and the long range predictions are
for a hotter than normal summer. I just wish it would start! B)
In the original you noted that it was warmer in the West than it
is in Florida.. I mentioned how unusually cold it was this week
here in Ontario, but on the West Coast in B.C. they are complaining
because it is mid 20's C there (near 80F) and it's so early they are
not used to it yet so it feels hotter than that.
