• Sunrise Doors setup for Synchronet

From RickV@1:154/110 to All on Monday, July 06, 2026 16:44:33

    Hello everybody!

I have heard that there is a archive of all the 16 bit Sunrise doors with .ini's and .js to auto install into Synchronet BBS. Does anyone have this and can I get it?

    Thanks,
    RickV

It sounds like you're referring to this: https://github.com/SynchronetBBS/sbbs/tree/master/xtrn/3rdp-install

Yeah, I have all of the Sunrise door files from there and the doors installed. The problem is that the Sunrise *.js auto-install scripts for each door sets all the *.cfg files with a path to the door.sys to a PCBDRIVE path. I don't know why they would be setup this way, but now you have to go and edit ALL the .cfg's and node .cfg's to the correct door.sys path. Why would they be setup this way for a SBBS system?

Because PCBDRIVE is one of the environment variables set by BBS when executing external programs - just for this reason. No, you don't have "go and edit" - leave it alone and it should work as is.
