From Khronos@VERT/CWSHACK to All on Sunday, July 05, 2026 15:46:50
    Hi,
How do I change the message reader / viewer back to the default?
I changed it a long time ago, but don't know how to change it back to what the default setting would be.

    Thanks,

Yes, this is the section that contains what I need to change.
    Currently these values are:
    ../xtrn/DDMsgReader/DDMsgReader.js
What should I use to change them back to the default?

For quite some time now I seem to be missing messages from time to time in some areas.
This seems to occur a lot more often after I add an echo to a message group.

Just blank them out.. I imagine they were blank before you added DDMsgReader.js?

Hmm, interesting.. When you say missing messages, is that happening during a newscan (not showing some new messages), or when just listing or reading messages? I can't say I've seen that, but I'll look out for that. And how do you know there are messages missing?

    Hi,
This issue is hard to track down because it is hard to pick up the exact behavior.
I know I am missing messages because when I do a qwk download of messages there are messages being pulled down that I know I have not read yet.
The message pointers seem to be messed up in some ways over the entire message base.
One way I can sometimes get things back into shape is to browse to an area and read the last message.

I just want to be clear, when you say "missing messages", do you mean the newscan simply doesn't show them (maybe due to pointer issues) or the reader actually does not include the message at all, even if you're just reading or listing messages?

    Hi,
This seems to be a pointer issue because when I enter the echo from the echo list I see all messages in the area.
Just the read / unread message counts are off.

    Hi,
When reading messages in an echo how do I go to the last message in an echo so I can mark all of them as read and work my way into the next echo in my reading process?

    Thanks,

When reading messages in an echo how do I go to the last message in an echo so I can mark all of them as read and work my way into the next echo in my reading process?

You can hit 'B' to bypass a sub (it won't move your newscan to the last messge) or you can type the last message number as it appears in the Reading prompt.
