Wildcat! 10.0 Build 500.2 GA1 - AutoUpdate Available -!-----------------------------------------------

This GA1 "General Release 1" update includes the following
changes as follows:

- All images were recompiled to show v10.0.500.2.

- Using FileOsVer *.exe *.dll will show the real internal file version so if
we
update a PX/WIN file, it will have 10.0.500.2.N where N is the recompile
number. Does not apply to Wildcat! images - YET!

- PX/WIN has some fixes and new viewpoll options so read that in the AUP.CHM

- Nothing new for Wildcat!. Just the file version information.

I wonder how many people are actually buying Wildcat at those prices. I just did a quick check at the Telnet BBS Guide, and it says they have 27 BBSes using Wildcat. But it also says they hae 297 BBSes running Synchronet and 207 running Mystic, and others running a mix of other BBS packages.

Also, the Telnet BBS Guide says they have 1023 BBSes in their list. Even considering the whole world, that's quite a bit more BBSes than I imagined there were. I wonder if some of them are no longer running though, and perhaps they haven't removed their BBS from the list..

$129 if you have more than 2 nodes. Although I'm not sure what a node is. I'd be willing to bet most SysOps have more than 2 of whatever they consider nodes these days though.

I imagine a node is the same as what it always was - a slot where a user can connect to the BBS. Even though most BBSes these days don't have dialup phone lines, BBS software still typically has a limited number of nodes that you can set up (maybe only for historical reasons though).

In this case it's the number of simultaneous users online at once. I
started sat 2 the slowly upgraded to 16, but that was after I bought
out anoy WINS Sysop's license from him when he shut down his system
after at least a decade-long run.
